The drum scraper dryer is an internally heated conduction-type rotating continuous drying equipment. The rotating drum adheres to a film of material with a certain thickness through its lower trough. Heat is conveyed to the inner wall of the drum through pipes, conducted to the outer wall of the drum, and then transferred to the material film, causing the moisture in the material film to evaporate and dehumidify, thus drying the material containing moisture. The dried material is scraped off the drum by the scraper installed on the surface of the drum and falls onto the screw conveyor located below the scraper. The dry material is collected and packaged through the screw conveyor.

High thermal efficiency. Since the heat transfer mechanism of the drum dryer belongs to heat conduction, and the heat transfer direction remains consistent throughout the entire operation cycle. Except for the heat loss due to cover heat dissipation and thermal radiation, all the remaining heat is used for the evaporation of the moisture in the material film on the drum, and the thermal efficiency can reach 80%-90%.
Large operation flexibility and wide applicability. Many drying factors of the drum dryer can be adjusted. For example, the concentration of the feed, the thickness of the coated material film, the temperature of the heating medium, the rotation speed of the drum, etc., can all change the drying efficiency of the drum dryer, and these factors are independent of each other. This brings great convenience to the drum drying operation, enabling it to meet the drying requirements of a variety of materials and different production outputs.
Short drying time. The drying cycle of the material is generally only 10-300 seconds, which is suitable for heat-sensitive materials. If the drum dryer is installed in a vacuum device, it can operate under reduced pressure conditions.
High drying rate. Since the material film coated on the drum wall is very thin, generally 0.3-1.5mm, and the heat transfer and mass transfer directions are the same, the evaporation intensity of 20-70kg·H2O/m2·h can be maintained on the surface of the material film.
