       Static mixer is a kind of high efficiency mixing equipment without moving parts, its basic working mechanism is to use the mixing unit fixed in the tube to change the flow state of the fluid in the tube, in order to achieve the purpose of good dispersion and full mixing between different fluids. The device is widely used and non-removable.

How it works:
      Let the fluid flow in the pipeline impact various types of plate components, increase the velocity gradient of the fluid laminar flow movement or form turbulence, laminar flow is "segmentation - position movement - reconvergence", turbulent flow, in addition to the above three situations, the fluid will also produce violent eddy currents in the direction of the section, there is a strong shear force for the fluid, so that the fluid further segmentation and mixing. The final mixture forms the desired emulsion. The reason why it is called a "static" mixer means that there are no moving parts in the pipeline, only static components.
      The mixing process of static mixers is carried out by a series of mixing units of different specifications installed in hollow pipes. Due to the role of the mixing unit, the fluid sometimes turns left, sometimes turns right, and constantly changes the direction of the flow mixer, which not only pushes the central fluid to the periphery, but also pushes the peripheral fluid to the center, resulting in a good radial mixing effect. At the same time, the rotation of the fluid itself will also occur on the interface where the adjacent components are connected, and this perfect radial circulation mixing effect makes the material obtain the purpose of mixing evenly. Number of Mixing Units
Generally, 3-6 units are required (adjusted according to the mixing accuracy requirements. The more units, the more uniform the mixing).
For sulfuric acid dilution, 4-5 units are recommended, taking into account both efficiency and pressure drop.
Flow Rate and Pressure Drop
Optimal flow rate range: 0.3-1.5 m/s (too low will lead to insufficient mixing, and too high will significantly increase the pressure drop).
