When vacuum accumulates in the tank, the valve disc opens downward to release the vacuum. Similarly, when the negative pressure reaches 90% of the set pressure, the valve disc returns to the seat and reseals.

The 7200 Emergency relief valve provides emergency protection for the tank to handle overpressures that the tank's standard vents cannot handle. If the internal pressure of the tank is too large, the hinged cover of the 7200 emergency relief valve begins to open when it reaches the predetermined set pressure to release the excess pressure. When the overpressure dissipates, the hinged cover resets. The hinge mechanism can prevent misalignment and ensure accurate return of the hinge cover. When the vacuum accumulation in the tank is excessive, the spring-type valve spool is lifted to break the seal between the valve seat and the valve spool, so that the air passes through the gate hole plate and releases the accumulated vacuum.
